Kill the Silence: 3D Album Campaign
A static album-cover concept developed in Blender, then expanded into motion assets for Spotify and social promotion.
The concept
The central image was light shining through a crack in a dark stone wall: a visual translation of Kill the Silence.
The idea depended on depth, irregular surfaces, and light that felt physically present. Rather than simulate those qualities entirely in a flat composition, I chose to construct and light the scene in Blender.
The approach
Choosing 3D was the most direct way to make the concept believable while creating a scene that could also be animated for the broader campaign.
I researched ways to create visible light beams in Blender and adapted a shader-based technique for the effect. The shader combined a gradient with vertically stretched noise and was applied to a crack-shaped mesh positioned along the stone surface.
Building the concept as a 3D scene also allowed me to reframe and animate it for vertical formats.
From cover to motion
The finished cover became the anchor for two release assets: a compact Spotify Canvas loop and a longer social promotion. Movement in the light and atmosphere preserved the cover’s restraint while adding enough change to hold attention onscreen.
One clear concept produced a coordinated set of deliverables across static artwork, streaming, and social media, demonstrating how 3D can function as a practical campaign system rather than a single polished render.
